Ambien 48 hours before dental surgery?

Is it ok to take ambien 48 hours before a wisdom tooth removal?

Ambien 48 hours before dental surgery?
Ambien should be fine if taken 2 days prior to the procedure and is taken as prescribed by your doctor. Most of the time Ambien won't affect the sedation, but it is important to notify the surgeon and assistant what medications you do take (over the counter, prescription and illicit drugs). This is VERY important as some medications do affect sedation medication.

Our office tells patients to take medications as prescribed except for blood thinners and insulin (people on those medications and those with complicated medical histories require a consultation with the surgeon before surgery is scheduled to discuss proper management).
