Does the doctor in dental medicine and doctor and dental surgery do the same job?what's the difference?

To be honest, I'm not really sure - but I'm thinking that dental medicine refers broadly to diagnosing and treating dental problems, while dental surgery refers to addressing specific issues that are severe enough to require surgical intervention.

Reply:The Doctor of Dental Surgery, and Doctor of Dental Medicine holders do the same work.DDS is the original degree awarded by most universities in USA.DMD was first awarded by Harvard School of Dental Medicine because degrees by tradition are in Latin,Dentaire Medicinea Doctorae. Report It

Reply:one is an orthodondist and one is a surgeon, but did you know that a dentist can sit in on the test to be a plastic surgeon and if he passes he can practice! so come for a root canal and leave with a face lift!
