How long do you experience pain after dental implant surgery?

My dentist said it could take up to a month to aclimate to the new implant. Had the one done, 2 weeks later would have never known that tooth was ever missing. Had the next one done, and my dentist still didn't understand why it's still killing me after 5 months. It's now been a little over a year, and although it still hurts, it's pretty lowgrade and still improving. But I still think it was worthwhile. Just my experience, hope yours is better.

Pain?? there should be no pain. uh uh nooooo, no pain!! You may be a little sore but no pain. Nothing 2 advils cant fix. Go back to your dentist IMMEDIATELY and find out if you got an infection. The ONLY area that should be a tad bit sore is where he placed the suture to close the implant. And that shouldnt be enough to cause pain. See your dentist!!!!
