My dog recently had dental surgery and is refusing dry dog food. suggestions for healthy canned food?

I know most canned foods are considered junk food. How can I keep her eating and Healthy? She likes mighty dog, I am not a fan. How about Purina One canned food? Any better suggestions. Come on dog lovers, you know you have tried them all. Please tell me what I should stay away from. Thanks

If you feed dry just soak in some water or low sodium broth till soft. That way there is less chance of diarrhea switching food,
Reply:Just water down the dried food with a little warm water for a couple of days. No need to change to canned food. This worked perfectly for my little guy who had some baby teeth removed last year.

If you really want to do canned food use something like Wellness or Solid Gold.
Reply:I would recommend Canidae. Or, you can soften up her hard food with warm water. Better yet, grind it up with warm water so that its like an oatmeal mush, and you can mix in a LITTLE bit of soft food to make it more appealing to her. Or, blend in a couple of treats too.

Poor girl, I hope her teeth feel better!
Reply:We used to get our dog mince meat...and lamb hearts and things like that....we cooked it up with carrots...its not very expensive and you can do a lot in one go...obviously you dont buy the most expensive but it is much better than tinned food...you can put rice with it too.
Reply:I recommend checking out 4, 5, and 6 star canned foods on this website:

Reply:Mightydog is not very good, you are right. I sometimes just wet it and put some chicken flavoring in it and let it sit but make shure it is still warm, my dog LOVES it! Or if you can try Moist %26amp; Meaty by purina. It is pretty good but not realy the best but dogs love it and it is not too bad.
Reply:I feed my dog Authority hard food. I mix up her wet with Authority, Blue Organics and actually- canned soup. Chicken Noodle and hearty Beef Stew. She loves it, and it's not that much more expensive then canned dog food. At least then i know shes getting a little better quality meat.

She's sixteen.
Reply:if your dog likes milk or gravy try soaking her food in some she will be more likely to try it if it smells of something else she likes, this way you dont have to change her food.
Reply:Ok..this is going to shock you...but tis important for your dog(and cat if you have any) Go to www.dogpile.com (tis a search engine..nothing to do with dogs, I use it as it uses the best of the best in the top 4 rated search engines)

Now type in Animal Rendering..pick any site, yet you might wish to read the government reports 1st so you know it is real...then go to the other sites..read and see the pics...this also applies to you and your health. Please do this ASAP! Ans in the mean time..give your dog scrambled eggs and add some veggies to it!! there you'll have excellent protein and fiber, etc for the time being...the search will explain further...

May your furface mend fast..best wishes to you BOTH
Reply:By switching to a raw diet, you will totally eliminate the need for painful and costly dental cleanings! Your baby would be able to make the switch now and would recover faster and be healthier for it! Get that baby some REAL food asap! :-))

Check out these links Ive provided, keep an open mind, your dog will thank you.
Reply:i think you should try pedigree with milk or bread and milk and always keep water in front of him /her
