How do I pay for a $40,000 dental surgery?
With money?
Reply:Do not have surgery just get them all pulled and get false teeth
Reply:You may have to get a loan. Depending on why you are getting the surgery (for some severe cases where pain or function is an issue) there may be grant programs available - you would need to ask your surgeon or their assistants.

Before going for surgery ensure there are no other options for dealing with this issue (which I will assume is pain in the joints - if you have no pain or infection do not go for surgery as there are always complications).

Please please please before you go under the knife check and double check your surgeon. Ask for referrals from other people with good results. This is a largely unregulated field, and I have heard of so many disaster stories.

I have had 5 surgeries. 4 to correct what they did wrong the first time. I am very lucky I am okay (about 95% recovery), but I know a lot of people who continue to have major issues. Even with a successful result I still have some daily pain, and facial nerve damage that will always be with me.

For me it was worth it as this is compared to pain of a severity where I was taking 3 percocet/4 hours, muscle relaxers, steriod injections into the joints, and was still in pain.

There is a time and a place for surgery - it is important. Before you shell out $40 000 though - make sure you know it will help your overal condition.

If it is cosmetic - I hope you never raise the $40000 as it simply isn't worth the risk.
Reply:Get a loan and a financing plan.
Reply:idk if they have it where you are but here they have a thing called care credit....basically a dental credit card...you can sign up at www.carecredit.com and see how much you are approved for proabably wont be 40,000 worth but some is better than none
Reply:I assume you don't have dental insurance. If you qualify, Social Services may be able to help you pay for dental care. Go to your local office to apply.

We are fortunate to have a University where I live, and they have a dental clinic that does dental work at reduced rates. And there is a licesenced dentist there too.
Reply:I am a Heath-care Benefits Specialist. I help people that are uninsured or under-insured. I provide dental and health benefits plans. You pay a low monthly fee and the quality of care blows insurance out of the water. They even cover cosmetic surgery procedures and will negotiate on expensive bills for you.
