What is a dental nurses role in the dental surgery?

The assistant sterlizes all instruments and sets up the operatory. He or she assists the dentist during the procedure by passing instruments, retracting lip, cheek or tongue and also keeping the mouth free of saliva, blood and any other debris. The assistant is also responsible for helping to keep the patient comfortable and educating the patient. There are many other duties of the dental assistant... too many to list.

I don't know it exactly but. In any operation there are preparations that need to be done to fasten things up a bit and open up space for the surgeon. the appliances are need to be placed or removed. there are things to be given and taken. the nurses make sure that the surgeon does his or her job focusing on the subject. You can't remove a broken root and hold the sucker pipes in place at the same time...
