It very much depends on what you are having done, what type of painkillers are being used etc. You should call the dental surgeon and discuss this with them in advance of the surgery. If you are not happy with the answer, ask the dentist to write down the type of drugs and the way you will be getting them, ie pill or IV and take it to your local pharmacist who can give you good information on the drug effects on pregnancy and fertility.

You could also use birth control the month prior to the surgery so you will be confident you won't be pregnant.

Good Luck.
Reply:Tell your dentist about it, they'll work it out :)
Reply:I would talk to your doctor and your dentist. I wouldn't think it would do anything but you never know. And I think it is a good thing that you are thinking of the baby and trying to find answers. I can tell right now you are going to be a good mom.
Reply:First of all please tell your dentist that you are pregnent then he may take care for giving you medicines and presurgical injections. If you do so, It never be any type harmful for you and your baby.
Reply:The dental surgery will not harm the baby but you can inform the dental surgeon treating you beforehand so that they will take any precautions if needed.
Reply:The major things that hurt the baby are the films they take of your teeth and the pain killer they give you after. But if you tell your dental assistant they will double layer the shields on you and everything will be protected. Talk to the doctor about the pain killers. But everything should be fine for you to go to the dentist.
