I cant afford surgery, what now?

i dont have money to get orthognathic (jaw reconstruction) surgery done. i need it before i can get braces i've been told. and i really need braces because my teeth are horribly out of place. i don't even have money for braces even after i get the surgery done...:(

how can i get the surgery and braces for free?

is there a school for dental docs. that gives free operations to ppl for being practice patients for the next generation of dental docs?

I cant afford surgery, what now?
insurance
Reply:Call a nearby or local dental school and ask them what they can do for you or advise you to do.
Reply:find a university of medicine.
Reply:I know here in Australia, many capital cities offer braces for a severly discounted rate, in comparison to more regional towns. You may have to travel 2hrs to get them and for your adjustments but theyre next to free.

I would search and see if anything is offered in your neighbourhood. As for free surgery, that would be very unlikely and rather iffy, if its only interns operating.

You could contact your local university with a med school and ask but make sure you do your homework.
Reply:The School of Dentistry will provide major discounts....check out
Reply:i would HIGHLY recommend that you look into one of the local universities with dentistry/medical schools. they are so much cheaper. for example, my wisdom teeth surgery would normally cost 1500 with insurance and full sedation, but at my university it will be $346!!
Reply:This may sound mean but its the truth. If you can't afford insurance, braces fees or surgery you are going to remain in the condition you are in.

Go for it as to looking toward the dental schools and other possibilities for free and/or cheap work but don't hold your breath. It is was it is.

Best of luck!
