My school dentist me to the oral maxillofacial surgery because of my 2 impacted wisdom tooth ..?

and need to cut the gum to remove it ... is this surgery same as other dental clinic that remove wisdom tooth ..??

If a wisdom tooth is impacted it takes oral surgery to remove it. It is a pretty simple procedure. You can have IV sedation and not feel a thing. Only an oral oral surgeon can perform the surgery, a general practitioner cannot . Hope this helps :)
