Undergoing a dental surgery tomorrow, help!!!?
If you are undergoing dental surgery tomorrow then perhaps you'd better call the office and get all your questions and concerns answered by them. (Or better yet have your parents call as you are only 14.)

Wisdom teeth are not extracted at age 14 (unless there is some wild circumstance I've never heard about, so this question does not add up.
Reply:It depends on what the doctor is going to use. If he uses general anesthesia they will put in an IV and give it Thur that. If they just give you something to relax it might be a pill. Both of these will take a few minutes to work. He might be going to give you laughing gas (really good that's what I had when I had mine out) which takes effect almost instantly. So don't be scared it will be fine. Good luck.
Reply:Don't worry because they won't be doing surgery under GA,wisdom tooth can be removed under local anesthesia, where in you will be conscious only, but there will not be any sensation in the operating area ,so don't worry
Reply:|I had all 4 done at once when I was 21. Now this was 20 years ago, so it might be different now. I had general anesthesia (maybe because one tooth was impacted and would be a pain to remove). I remember them to tell me to count backwards from 100 and I maybe got to 93 and was out.

I had no problems afterwards either.
